FACT (Families and Children Together)
Dear Parents and Friends
Parents and friends of the school have always played a key role in helping to raise funds for school projects and to provide excellent new initiatives for the children to enjoy including the timber trial, the stage, outdoor learning areas and many more. This has been achieved under the committee and a group of volunteers known as PIA (Parents In Action) and for a few years now we have been known as FACT ‘Families and Children Together’.
Jessica Jackson and Tina Lightfoot are your key committee members of FACT. We have experience in fundraising and event management and hope that we can work with the school to give the children some fantastic experiences throughout their school years and to raise some money for the school at the same time.
We would really like to encourage as many parents as possible to get involved in what we are trying to achieve and hope that more parents, grandparents and friends will come forward and throw some new ideas into the pot as well as helping to get them going!
To get the most out of this group and to gain the biggest rewards we need to work as a team and the more volunteers we have involved, the bigger and better the events can be! Whether it’s an hour a year or an hour a week, it will be a huge help and will make all the difference. So if you could serve a cup of coffee at the Christmas performance or paint a face at the scary disco or simply be there to supervise the children playing, please please let us know.
If you have any questions or would simply like to talk to one of us about what we are doing or how you could help, please feel free to call, text or email on the details below and we will be more than happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
We hope to keep these letters going so you know what is to come from FACT but in the meantime keep your eyes and ears open for the next social event!
